Hey guys,
I have a 94 3lt KZN-TE and she starts very rough on first start of the day, blowing white smoke. After she gets warm it stops and wont do it for the rest of the day. It has done this for years and want to get to the bottom of the problem. I have very recently had a new head and gasket fitted, also had my injectors recondition and fitted new glow plugs, the bus bar has also been checked for the right amount of volts. I have been informed that its probably the timing of the fuel pump and needs to be advanced. I have tried this and had no luck, advancing it mm by mm till the check engine light comes on. Am now going to try retarding the fuel pump to see if that helps the situation.
If anyone had any ideas I can try it would be much appreciated.
