where is the fuel pump gauze filter 3.0 TD

where is the gauze filter on the fuel pump on the 3.0td 2nd gen i need to clean it to see if my surf runs better.

Never looked myself, but I would imagine it would be at the end of the inlet pipe from the main filter.

yeah i thought that to but nooooooooooooooooooo

i found it in the pfd manual i downloaded , its on the rear lower side of the pump and needs a 22mm spanner to remove it. i found it and its clean so that not my problem darn it.

as you can see it came out pretty clean, this was it before i cleaned it lol
