Holes in rear of rear seats - why?

Pretty self explanatory.

I changed my rear carpet which includes the bit on the rear of the rear seats, and the new one has one hole in each seat back about in the middle there are threaded holes in the seat back itself that line up - anyone know what they're for?

Dog guard?
Reinforcement to join seats together?

I got the carpet from Lord Lucan so maybe he'll know if no-one else does.

mine just has 2 screws holding large plastic countersunk washers. dont know what they are for though.

the screws are hidden under the washer caps.

They are for the plastic things on the bottom of the seat bases to clip to when the seats are down.

Well, you learn something new everyday... didn't even know I had any plastic thingies to fasten on to those plastic washers!

Looks unlikely to survive careless loading, hence why mine are AWOL....

Straps not applicable - although I'll fit the plastic bits as I hate holes.

Very handy bit of info, so I found the missing parts>fitted them>the bl**dy straps are too short
