  • I've gone and broke my brake...

Went along to a pay and play at harbour hill today - first time properly off road - and what fun!

...But I've gone and b*ggered my handbrake I think, it doesn't seem to have much tension in it now and doesn't seem to hold the car back as much in drive. I did scrape the bottom a little a couple of times while offroad... any ideas as to what I'm likely to have done?

I also had a screeching noise when turning, but I pulled a massive wad of leaves, mud and sticks from my steering bump stops, which seems to have lessened that fairly significantly.

The rear brakes often need resetting after offroading, crap to get in drums and bugger things up. 2nd Gens do it all time, especially in wet silty mud.

I normally clean them out, reset the adjusters and its fine.

Can sort it out when you bring truck up, you don't need the handbrake much.
