If it's n/s it's probably the Pitman Arm. It's the equivalent of the Steering Box but on the n/s of the vehicle.

If it is on th n/s then it will be the steering idler arm. The pitman arm is on the o/s. The bushes on the idler can be replaced, 2 bushes @ £1.50 each. The whole idler is £55 from Milners.

        Cheers

Ahha, so you have those very rare, bend in 4 different directions arms that enable you to easily get the 3 bolts out that hold it to the chassis. Or do you not have an underslung mounted AC radiator.

Well done anyway, back on the road now, it certainly makes a difference to the driveability of the Surf when the idler isn't slopping all over the shop.

              Cheers
