Hi everybody.
I have a 96 3rd gen Surf and I am thinking of upgrading the suspension. Like many before me, I have researched the threads, of which there are many, and looked at options online, here and abroad. The RT kit is the most effective and easiest to source but before I took the plunge, I compared my current stance to some of the measurements I found in other threads. Nick Turney measured the distance from floor to wheel arch before and after and it went up from 33 to 35 inches. I run General AT2 265/70/16 and I've just measured 35in from floor to wheel arch. The springs and shocks seem all OE items (black/grey with no markings) so I am a bit baffled as to whether or not the truck has already been lifted.
Has anybody else measured the distance between floor and wheel arch on a 2" lifted 3rd gen? Any light shedding appreciated. Thanks.
