  • 3 gen surf info plzz

hello you lot im new to the forum and the ownership of the TOYOTA SURF ssrx
    3.0td auto 105k mile .

im wanting to know what they drive like on the road this one seems a little bit harsh when it hits a bump it shakes a little bit too much .

just wondering if they all do it or if there is an easy fix ...

its not wheel balence its more there is not a lot of suspension action ...

let me know if you lot can recomend a course of action .

this surf is used mainly for road and towing a boat .

Have you got the suspension switch on hard or soft? (Seriously, it ain't a pi55 take mate).

I have a 3rd gen and it handles like a car on the road, no nasty jars in the suspension.
'Tis better to sting than to be stung!

Another factor is your tires and the pressure in them. What are you running?

                ooow

not sure about the setting re hard or soft .....

where is the switch for this ?

like i say its good handling just shakes a bit too muck over small or large bumps

tyre pressure is 32 all round ...

thanks for the replys ill be over the moon if it has a switch to change the setting to soft ...

let me know WHERE to look .

the switch should be beside the handbrake on the front half of the arm rest there an ect one(sports mode for the autobox) then the hard/soft one(suspension one)an power foldin rear mirror if you have one fitted to your rear spoiler

it holds the gears longer before changin so the revs can build up higher
to build speed a bit quicker
