  • Rear wiper Gen 2 only Toyota?

    Pretty self explanatory.

Checked Valeo and Bosch which don't have a listing for the rear wiper blade on a Gen 2/4runner, which is understandable with the little bit to screw on.

Just to check it's only possible to get a Toyota one?

You just need a refill wiper, it slides in and cut to lenght.

Ok I understand, although mines so rusty I may get a new one anyway.

Tintin I noticed your XJR website link and have a quick question:

Where I rent a garage in Nice there is a UK P/75-76 plate (original rivetted letters job) XJC 4.2 with alot of dust, been sitting at least eight years.
The thing looks very very good with 25 year old tyres and 38000miles showing, the seat, steering wheel wear looks like 38k (138 would seem to much for the wear) could be possible.
The only negative point is signs of a small accident repair F/N/S with a non original headlight, and a silver tidy up respray at some point.

I know these cars are full of issues from new and especially after standing so long - is it worth sorting out?

            I would say ...
            1) find out exactly what you can get it for!
(some people think any car thats been in a barn for ten years is worth millions!!)
            2) Speak to keith at XJ either by phone / email or join the forum!
He is a genuine jag enthusiast as well as a good restorer and will happily help anyone with queries!

Actually living in France you can replace the wiper really easily.

You just buy yourself a normal 13" wiper blade, then get a LHD screw on jap wiper bracket. (over here the Halfrauds ones are RHD, so the wrong way up).

I bought one in Inter-voiture or whatever they're called.
(You may need to modify the ramp bit to fit properly, get the wiper to park fully though.)

No, its just an adapter, Valeo if i remember correctly, that clips onto the wiper.
