  • torque convertor

i now some of you wont like me asking this so sorry in advance but i also have a pajero which i am breaking due to engine fail...and i need to get the auto torque convertor of the engine but im at a dead end now as i dont now how it comes off.
does anyone now about these....is it meant to just slide of and leave the fly-wheel still attached to the engine.
    thanks

It's bolted to the flexplate (flywheel) with six bolts (usually).
You access the bolt heads from the engine side at the removable inspection plate at the bottom. Remove one or two bolts if you can, then turn the engine over using a socket on the crankshaft pulley nut until the next bolthead is visible.
Once all the bolts are removed, the torque converter should slide away from the flexplate onto the transmission shaft. It might want prising off with a long screwdriver or similar.
