new to the surf and 4x4 world so have a few maybe silly questions

and to the floor i have a few questions that will deff seam silly for some of them lol but bear with me

    ln130 etc means ??

i read you talking alot about T/C in the v8 conversion threads and i dont know what this is

will a later rear bumper fit onto mine ?

is fitting rear 3 point seatbelts (when you have lapbelts) as simple as, the mounts are already there and you just need to fit the belts.

what do people do suspension wise for replacment of springs shocks bushes etc ?

just for info i will prob do some green lanning but nothing serious so base the suspension answers more around a road set up.

how good are surf brakes lol

thats just a few of my questions for now lol and thanks in advance

    LN130 means it's a 2.4 diesel. (2nd generation)
T/C just means transfercase or transfer box, the part that converts 2wd to 4wd.
    Parts from here.......

I doubt whether the later bumpers will fit the older Surfs, I don't think anyone on here has tried anyway.
    No idea re: seatbelts.

How good are Surf brakes? How strong are your thigh muscles?

i did think you might mean transfer case but ive always refered to it as a transfer box

i had no servo assist in my gte as it was fitted with a race pedal box so good but surly the surf has servo assist ?

It does and it works OK, but for the brakes to be good they need to be in tip top condition i.e. New fluid as most of these trucks still have twenty year old fluid in them!
Caliper re-furbishment at around 100k miles or the pistons can stick, especially on the nearside for some reason.
Rear brakes are drums and are self adjusting, provided the handbrake is used often to keep the shoes correctly adjusted, most owners just use the auto transmission as a parking aid.
