Tail Gate Conversion?

This may sound a bit daft but.....Is there a rear tailgate conversion available for my '94 3.0td auto surf?
A great truck but what an effort to get things in and out of the rear end.

I seriously doubt it, but I agree that it's a pain in the ass. One of the main reasons I held out and got a 3rd gen, I've got a dog that will be constantly in and out of there.

I've thought about converting mine so that the hinges are on the driver's side, so the tailgate swings open like a door. It'll be easy to get at things near the front of the cargo area too. My truck has the underslung spare wheel which will make it easier. I'll probably do it next year sometime.

Reckon the old girl will be up for sale soon as I really cannot be doing with the rear tailgate thing much longer....
