Any way to free up rear window?

I have had a look through existing threads but wondered if anyone has tried lubing the runners on the rear window, i just sold a 1994 3.0 to a friend and she is fretting about the ever slowing pace that the window is going up and down; is the relay about to pack in, or something else?

Clean out the runners top to bottom with cotton buds then silicone spray them. Remove mech and grease up all moving parts.

Anyhoo, get a can of this, and spray the rubber channels on each side where the glass touches as it goes up and down.
