miles per gallon

can anyone tell me how many miles to the gallon is my 2.4 td engine suppose to do, haven't had the clocks changed yet but roughly worked it out that i did 300km to £30 of diesel, roughly 23 miles to the gallon. i do a lot of round towning. is this right???????? is it best to have the overdrive on or off???

my norm is about 22mpg, although i have got as high as 26 whilst driving mainly motorway.

SHELLY if you take your shoes off you may get slightly more LOL

if i took my shoes off i wouldn't reach the peddles, very short 5'1. i can oly just see over the steering wheel. is it best with o/d on or off???

O/D on when on motoraway or cruising in fast traffic its like a 5th gear.

23mpg is within the limits if towing a lot. We tend to get 24 round town and about 27-28 on long trips in both the 2.4 and 3.0.

aaaaaaaaaahh thanks marky, i thought it was just another button to play with. haven't had the surf long, and theres loads to play with and get use to, can't get the mini disc to work thou. bit annoying with the wipers every time i indicate.

You'll get used to it!! I'm driving a Nova at the mo as my trucks in the garage in bits (til we get time to put it back together!!) and I keep switching the wipers on to turn as I got used to the surf!!!
