Squirty Pipe

I happened to have a look under the bonnet after being out for a drive this aft and noticed there was a burst in the pipe (marked in pic below) , it must only be the size of a pin prick as it was very fine. Is there a quick fix for this or should I replace the pipe and if so does it have a specific name?

Sorry I forgot to mention that the liquid coming from the pipe looked very similar to the coolant but had no smell to it, mind you I am getting over a cold at the moment so it actually might have. It did feel slightly slimy/soapy to the touch however.

Replace it with ordinary heater hose from a motor factor. I can't remember off hand what the diameter is, 16mm maybe?

Cheers for that Andy, I would normally have taken it down to my neighbours for a look but he has his hands full as another of our neighbours has been diagnosed with cancer and hasn't long to go and he was picking him up from Raigmore Hospital today.

16mm should be the size. As Andy says, just get some heater hose and cut to size. Use new clamps and clean up that pipe with a kitchen scourer. Check the pipe, it may be badly corroded.

Magic, cheers again guys. Thank god friday is payday as I also need to buy new anti-roll bars for the rear (both sides) and a replacement rear fog lamp as I managed to smash mine off whilst driving through a dry river bed next to the tummel last weekend whilst on a fishing trip (admittedly I was going a bit fast)

On the plus side though my local river opens for business on the first of June, as besides fiddling with the truck* my other passion is fly fishing

while you have that pipe off, it might be worth checking the pipes to the rear heater are clear...

It's funny you should mention that as the rear heater is the only one that seems to be working at the moment. I can feel heat coming from the front vents but the blower hasn't worked now for about a month or two which if i'm honest isn't really too much of a problem as it's been roasting up here recently and thankfully the windows work fine but I will check just in case.
