  • Front Diff Filler???

Hey guys!! After flushing out some vege-diesel after a rather unfortunate pump seal incident I decided to renew the oil in my diffs & transfer case yesterday... Transfer case- easy peasy, rear diff- amazingly tight nut 2 open before able 2 fill up!!! BUT where the hell is the plug for filling the front diff????? Seems 2 be hiding from me! Lol!! I've got a 92 LN130 2.4td .... Cheers guys!

You need the bashplate off, which I,ll assume youve done. If you consider the drainplug to be at the 6 o clock position, looking from the rear, the fill plug is around the 9-10 o clock pos,n. but more towards the front end of the truck. Its on the nearside ( passenger side) feel around for it, youll find it. Like the drain, its a hex plug. but in a different size. If drain is 12mm fill is 10mm or vice versa.

Even with the pic I'm a bit lost as to trying to find exactly where the plug is!!! But, from what I can gather it's right on the front of the diff,as u say, under the AC rad- in other words a right tricky bugger 2 find!!! I'm sure I'll find it soon enough!!! It just never ceases 2 amaze me where those jap guys have hidden basic servicing parts in this truck!!! Oil filters hidden behind wheel arches, diff filling plugs under rads!!!! U gotta love those crazy japs!! Lol!!
