    Hi Alan,
I did all my brake pipes last year and just bought standard brake pipe ends, had no problems at all and no leaks.
Incidentally, it is possible to fit the pipes that run front to back in one piece without removing the fuel tank. You need to be careful and take your time. I just did all the shaping of the pipes from front to the point where they need to bend around the fuel tank, leave this part until last. Slide the pipe in from the front and along the inner frame rail, it's awkward, but possible. Then very carefully bend the last part of the pipe with your fingers, slowly and at half inch to one inch intervals, but very slowly so you don't kink the pipe.
My Surf has a 4 inch body lift which might have helped, but it is possible

    Hope this helps

      Hi RebelV8,

Great advice, thank you. I'll give this a go, right after I've sorted my leaking steering pump!!

Good luck with it, just allow plenty of time so you can do it slowly.
