4" lifters, advice needed.

If you can get it up/down to Basingstoke I can have a squint at it for you, and maybe see if we can make it acceptable without messing with it to much.

Dropping it down shouldn't be a problem, would need to check if they've altered the gearbox linkages much, and the fuel filler hose should be to long.

But you got it for its 35's, don't write it off yet, it may just a little finishing off and still be a cool toy.

At worst, we may need to make the blocks 3", and do some trimming of the front to stop rubbing or you may be fine with the 4" block, if your happy to invest a little more cash and time into it.

I don't know what sort of suspension lift it has, you may be able to lift it more with new shocks and springs, and take a little out of the OTT body lift.

The offer of having it looked over is very appealing, just wish i didn't live in Cheshire. What makes it worse is that i bought it no more than 30-50 miles away from you in Angmering, near Brighton. D'oh. I have no idea who make the lifting blocks are, as i am pretty sure it came into the UK in its present state.

I got the exhaust fixed today, so its now nice and quiet again. I do like the height, but would consider coming down a bit in height, if it means it will be a safer, well sorted truck. I think there is a good truck in there, its just the silly issues have blunted the 'new toy' excitement i should be feeling. It pulls well, stops well, goes round corners well etc etc, its just this silly noise from the back end which is ruining it for me.

The 'new car' thing is always like that until you get your hands proper dirty and find out the nasty noises are nowt but a squeeky spring or such.

Summer's here. Get out there and take it to bits / put it together again. Good way to get confidence / sort the niggles. I'm sure it'll be OK.
