hello folkes im new to this i've just recently aquired a 3ltr ssrx diesel & i'm looking for some advice.Its been emiting black smoke it only does this when its been driven for 5 miles from cold & does it under light exceleration it also does it in puffs when its been driven for some time and well up to operating temp i have tried 2 lots of cleaner treatments to no avail can anyone please help?

Try putting a whole bottle (Yes a whole one!) of Redex diesel treatment into 1/4 tank of fuel and taking on the motorway and give it some beans! This will do a proper job on cleaning the injectors out.
If you aren't near a motorway then a long hill and hold it in second and boot it until you're scared it will blow up (Hold it below the redline) will do it as well.
The diesels do smoke a bit bit, are you running supermarket diesel? If so try some Esso and see if it runs cleaner.

thanks for the advice mate.Il try that i am also not noticing any obvious boost from the turbo on steady exceleration is this the norm?
