valves/tappets?

Hi folks

anyone know how often valves/shims/tappets? should need checked/replaced, and how much Toyota charge for this service/tuneup. Hazzo

I know Wolf did them himself when he had to put in new shims.He just measured whatever the gap was and ordered the new shims from Toyota.I think it took him about 3 hours to do the job.
I think he said the shims were about £5 each

Cheers for that, I've already seen shim sets on the net pretty cheap but I'm no mechanic and would rather have it done by someone who knows what they're doing, I've done tapets on bikes before but not shims/reshimming so would rather pay for tuning than mess it up myself. Hazzo
