Could anybody help me? I have just purchased a 1994hilux surf 3.0L Turbo Diesel SSR-X and I think that my transmission just went on it. I believe that the person who owned it before me did NOT change any of the fluids on it when it got shipped here from Japan. Even though the vehicle was saftied I am in the process of draining all the fluids and they are completely dirty and disgusting and thick. I am not sure if it burnt the over drive? i am sure hoping it didn't.
Is the tranismission in a hilux interchangeable with anything else like a 4runner? Or is there anything else I can do check it?
