steering belt on hi-lux surf 1992

hi new to this can anyone help. how easy is it to fit new steering belt

You need to explain in more detail what you mean.

the surfs have a power steering pump and not a belt.
If you got steering problems then it will be either a leak somewhere or old fluid needs changing

You need a belt from crank to pump pulley for it to work. The 3Ltr is gear driven as far as I know.

Easy to replace. Just slightly loosen the bolt at the adjuster bracket and the pivot bolt through pump bracket. Rotate the pump to remove the old belt, install new and rotate the pump back again to tension and tighten bolts being careful not to overtighten and snap a bolt.

thats good to know about the 2.4's Nev.Although i break them i haven't actually had to strip a steering pump or anything from a 2.4 engine so i gathered they were like the 3.0l's
