Re
Oh Sorry!
It's a local motor factors who mix paint onsite.
I have tried a few places and this is the only one who have the "proper" codes for the "Surf" blue colour!
They charge £15 for a full can of aerosol and £5 for a bottle of touch up paint!
The code is 8E3.
Sounds dear I know but getting the right colour made me think that it is a bargain!Last edited by hellmett; 11 October 2009, 20:44.

Their 8E3 is nothing like the Surf paint.
I've tried twice now in 2 different branches and it just isn't the same colour.
It's proper description is:-
Toyota Dark Blue Pearl - Color Code 8E3
See here:
8E3

that explains why the aerosol paint didnt match (and i didnt use it) , I just thought it was due to the age of the truck and that the colour had faded, etc.
the touch-up wasn't too bad on the dark blue私のホバークラフト は鰻が一杯です。

I was surprised as I thought there would have been a little "aging" fade as well.
It seems when Toyota painted these cars they used very high quality paint!
When you spray the first coat onto primer it is more of a green colour!
How bizarre is that!Last edited by hellmett; 11 October 2009, 21:03.
