Hi all,
Im from Stoke-On-Trent love my 4x4s run a Jeep Cherokee for off roadin' and I have a 3.0L manual Gen2 Surf or Mrs Fandango does for the school run for the not so little Fandangos. Im sure I will get to know some of you in due course at any off roading meets etc although I will be in me Jeep!!
However, help is needed its just developed what I think is a problem with either the gearbox or transfer box, more will come to light as I get it on the ramps. When the clutch is let up in any gear we just get a grinding noise and the vehicle does not move.
Therefore I have a techy question does the gearbox or transfer box from a 2.4L fit? as these seem more plentiful! or will the transfer box from an auto 3.0L fit too?
From what I can gather a manual 3.0L is somewhat rare and so the availability of said manual gearbox may be a tad hard to come by or even the transfer box if it is unique to the 3.0L.
