do you beep in reverse?

Hey guys, how do I get rid of that annoying beep beep in reverse? I have tried to locate the beeper buried somewhere in the dash so I can hammer it flat but cant find it yet. Am guessing there is a switch of some sort on the shifter, anyone have ideas?
Oh, and my parking lights flash when I open the doors, with or without the ignition being on.....

I'd leave it well alone Isn't the bleep when reverse is selected a handy safety feature with an auto box? Am I wrong?

It is a safety feature, but not universal or legally required in auto boxes (unlike the order of gears, with neutral between reverse and forward gears, which is a legal requirement at least in the US).

It should be pretty easy to remove - try searching the forum for 'reverse beep' or similar, I can remember it being covered before.
