Yoshie youve settled a bet i had wit my brother, I win. I reckoned your supposed to check coolant while engine is hot.
Em, no. You lose. Coolant should be checked when the engine is cold (ideally 1st thing in the morning), that's the only time all the coolant is where it should be.
The only things that should be checked hot are the Automatic Transmission Fluid and the Power Steering Fluid (see the link there too?). Everything else is checked cold.
