Hi guys and gals!!
Just bought me a 1993 hilux surf ssr-x and its my first one ever.
However, i have a couple of issues i would love to have some knowledge on from owners.
Firstly, i have a slight oil leak, it looks like its coming out from a gasket near one of the belts at the front near the bottom (its directly under the guard thing) and wondered if this would be expensive. It only leaks when running and is about 1/100th of a pints worth so far, oil level is still medium but i need to get this fixed and am worried because its near a belt if its going to cost a lot.
Secondly, was sat around for 30 minutes idle and then drove home about 10 minutes away. Got out the car and could hear a hissing. There was water coming out from the pipe coming from the rad to something that says do not open when hot. Its just a rubber pipe but its really held on tight so obviously im concerned if there is a blockage etc.
The car has no signs of head gasket problems but im not an expert.
Can anyone help me ?
