cv help please

I’m STILL looking looking to replace my offside cv but was wondering how much work it entails. I haven’t had 4 wheel drive since last December, lack of funds.
all I did was remove the splined cap thingy off the hub but know everything really rattles. I did this as I could not remove the cv before as I couldn’t get everything parallel to pull it out as I have a lift and very very firm sus.

i saw a cv for sale on e-gay for £25, any good, does it matter which side its for?

if anyone can help I will be very grateful,

£25 is a reasonable price plus postage.There is also a circlip to remove from the shaft in order to be able to pull the shaft out also the 12mm nut and washer on the end of the shaft

the circlips were off along with the bolt and washer but the parelel movement was massive wich mad it so noisey.

If your carefull you can knock the studs out on the diff end which will help a bit.I think someone said before about putting a bottle between the 2 wishbones to open them up a bit to give extra space

its quite close, but i live in sh1tty dundee in bonny scotland now, and i know we have posties, he rings my flat buzzer to get in the building every morning.

they dont say if its for a 2.4 or 3.0, i have a 2.4, is there difference?
and my surf is a 1991 not a 1993, does that matter?

Same for the 2.4 and 3 ltr. Just check the seal on the outer end is the same on the one you are removing as there was a change to these at some period.
