  • Garage / Repairs in Glasgow Area?

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of a reliable mechanic or garage in the Glasgow area that can be trusted with Surfs?

That's mine just back in the UK after a year in Morocco & Spain, and, although it was faultless for the most part, it needs some attention.

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

    Cheers

    Ciaron

Hi There, yeh i am originally from Falkirk,( Yeah i know,no jokes please!) anyway i am now in inverness, another story!.) I still use a mechanic in Falkirk called Peter Brown, he specialises in toyotas and he has been working on my surf for the past three years. He is based in the Merchiston Industrial estate Near the canal, his number is 07970,355417.Just tell him Graham the Chef recommended you and he will sort you out. Very cheap and you have a laugh too! One of the old school, doesnt take the P*** and he is happy to let you help too, which is always a bonus as it keeps the labour costs down and you learn a little. Hope this helps mate.

well where do we start, as i said, i am from falkirk, born and bred! but over tha last few years the town has declined into a sewer full of foreigners and junkies! Need i say anymore! family values seem to have gone by the way side and nobody really gives a sh*t for one another anymore, The white powder seems to have taken a hold and the young ones dont have the respect for their elders either, Basically a F*****g S******e!
Tired lil town and am so glad i got away, thats my opinion anyway Albannach, not much of a difference up north either btw!

That's a bit harsh, I've not noticed it to be any different from any other town or city. Do you mean Falkirk its self, or some of the surrounding Villages that are lumped into 'Falkirk'?

sorry , yeh i mean that... Falkirk is pretty much non existent really but as you drift to the surrounds, eg..langless, camelon, tamfourhill, west quarter, polmont, redding, you get my drift .

Not non existant, just anonymous. In my experience, the only hassle I see in Falkirk is between rival village nannygoats. Folk from 'Falkirk' are pretty easy going. There are much worse places to stay.

As a matter of interest, where in Falkirk District, are you from?

I'm not saying its the worst my friend, just that it's got steadily worse as the years pass by, i'm originally from Camelon, have lived in west quarter and polmont, and then we moved to Lewis, moved back to Camelon in the late nineties and after my dad died chose to get away to Inversneckie. You?

I'm a Weegie by birth, brought up in Grahamston, moved to Hallglen when my parents did the split up thing, then back down to Middlefield, East Kilbride for a while, then back to Grahamston and I'm in Denny now.

I like Falkirk, but then I'm used to it?
