changing water pump

hi would it be advisable to change the water pump as i am just starting to replace the cylinderhead and gaskets as imy surfs been sitting on the drive for a year never had it overheat just white smoke,,only to find a couple of cracks in the head,, also i will be buying a new cam belt,, the tentioner and pully is that a must that needs to be changed.. thanks alex

Yes change the lot including the three seals (crank, cam and I think the other is oil pump on a 1KZ-TE). The hydraulic tensioner is expensive, so you may want to just check it's operation and check for leaks. If ok you can reuse it.
