  • can any one help

    can any one help me i am trying to find out if my surf has a limited slip diff or not?
    i have a 2nd gen 3l td kzn130 as i want to do oil changes all round this info would be most helpfull

    Look on the plate on the bulhead,most surfs are 4 pinion, not seen one that wasn't, the last number of your axle code will 2, 4 or 5.

    2 is 2 pinion, 4 is 4 pinion and 5 is 4 pinion LSD.

      LSD Code is G245

        .......or, take a drive out into the countryside, pull over onto the side of the road so that one rear wheel is on the grass/mud and the other on the dry road. Hoof it and if you pull away OK then you've got a LSD. If the truck struggles to move i.e. the wheel thats on the grass/mud just spins, no LSD.

          just use lsdoil anyway, that way u should have no probs, lsd oil will not screw your difs if they aint and if they are , bonus!

            thanks for all the replys, the code on the bulkhead is AXLE G294 so i take it as a no.
