4WD not disengaging (flashing 4WD lights)

Hmmmmm.

I've got a bit of a 3rd gen. 4WD problem.
Had to put it into 4WD to get out of a muddy parking space up on the moors and got out fine.
I generally use the 4WD stick (pull straight back) and not the button (not sure if thats the best thing to do, but it works better).

All lights solid (green wheels and orange dif) on the little car icon on the dash.

When I pushed the 4WD stick back forward the lights started flashing. Now thtis usually happens until the car moves a few yards then it clunks back out of 4WD and the icon lights go off.

I tried reversing backwards and forwards, put it into 2 and LOW. Tried engaging and disengaging the electronic 4WD button, but i'm stuck with the flashing 4WD icon lights.

Any ideas???????

Mine does the same . I just drive it about 10 metres and then it all clears the lights off the dash . The system seems to need more time to disengage sometimes then others .

Fixed

It's OK i've fixed it now.

I just sat there for twenty minutes putting it in and out of 4WD.
Must have done it about 50 times, but it has unseized whatever had seized.
