Dont want to sound dumb but... When the surf is cold should the coolant be up to the top of radiator cap or does it drain back to level of expansion tank?
Upto the level of the neck. It pulls fluid back from the expansion tank as it cools. The expansion tank should also be filled to the maximum mark when the engine is cold.
