I had the window down yesterday and niticed a very feint rattle on a right hand bend and under braking. It clears on the straight and on a left hand bend. First thoughts were brake pads need changing, but having inspected them they are not that bad. Wheel bearings all felt OK. Anyone else had this and what did it turn out to be?

sounds like anti roll bar bushes or drop links to me, silly as it may sound although you think the noise is coming from the front, it could just as easily be the rears.
Get under it & give 'em a wiggle, prod with a prybar. If there's loads of give, there you go.

long shot is it could be the brake pad retaining pins - again dead easy to change and well cheap, from Roughtrax this time
