what rear prop?

hi everyone, its me first post... be gentle!

a quick question, can i drive without the rear prop attached in 4x4 whilst im having the UJ's replaced?

i found out the hard way you cant do it with a pajero a while back... all the transfer box fluid 'escaped'...

i did it once, when trying to figure out if prop shaft was cause of my truck shaking

undid the prop shaft from flanges front/rear - 4 bolts on each
then put truck in 4wd, so i could drive using front wheel drive

didnt feel as good to drive
and if you had an accident whilst like this the insurance company would likely use it as an excuse to clobber you!

just had a first go at removing the prop. that thing is on tight!
