  • Broken Anti roll bar mounting

    Hi

Just been advised by my local 4x4 garage that the clonking coming from the back of my surf is due to the anti roll bar mounting being broken. this is causing excess body roll at the back also which I have fel since I got the surf just over a week ago.

I have looked at getting a bush kit from milners but since they are now closed for the holidays, am left wondering if the kit includes the D shaped bracket or if that needs to be purchased seperatly.

    any advice is greatly appreciated.

    thanks

    Steve

after climbing under the surf about half an hour ago, I saw for myself the broken bracket, the clonking was the anti rollbar hitting what was left of it.

the bush is totally gone, and the bracket is beyond repair, bolts came out real easy so its safe to say by the look of the bolts that they have been changd a few times already.

A nice easy job for me at least.

your one of the lucky ones as quite often the bolts tend to snap off when it comes to un-doing them

Mine snapped, so I took the bars off. Can't fail an MOT if they're not there...

I think its down to the surf only being imported in 2005, as its still like new underneath. I tried loosening the other bracket off and it was easy aswell.

Bushes are orange, I dont know if that indicates what brand they are or not?

i got mine off aswell due to the lift and the off roading but i will have to see what it handles like once its fitted with 39's and 9-10" lift

Orange suggests they are uprated aftermarket ones, normal bushing is black.
