  • what tyre size?

i have a 91 SSR ltd narrow body ad at the moment it looks like it has a small penis as it has v small looking boots!

In fact an AA man (######) told me my Tyres were to small, now i am paranoid!

The wheels are 15" and are the allen key two peice type (not very deep)
the tyres on at the moment are 15/70/255's (i think it 255) the AA fella thought they should be 15/80's atleat?

how big can i go without sacrificing driveability and fuel conSUCKtion?

also can i get wheel arch extensions to get the wide look? where from and how much.

    thanks in advance.
Keep pulling out Paj's and destroying disco's!

Narrow body Surfs were sold new with 30 x 9.50 x 15 tyres on 6JJ steel rims. These are equivalent to 235 x 70 x 15 metric tyres and the 2 piece Dakar look-alike alloys which are more common than the original wheels are usually 6½JJ. These rims are not split rim, the metal is probably recycled kitchen foil, and the little bolts are plastic - how sad can you get?

Best combination for a Surf are the original Toyota 4 spoke type in 7 x 15 with 31 x 10.5 x 15 tyres. The original Toyota dished 16 x 7 rims from the 80 series Land Cruiser also look great and are easy to polish. You should be able to buy either type of rim from Ebay for under £100 a set

You can buy a set of arch extensions from Milners for £135
