Hi buddie, usually the feed to the back window breaks about
half way down the feed .

Prise back the insulation and have a look , remake the conection and tape it all back up .

      Hope that helps Chris

        Poppy, DW thanks,
I do read the wealth of info on here, but what I see sometimes happens is a fault gets fixed and not reported back on for the benefit of everyone,

Now my own stoopid question opportunity,
if the dash light for RD lights up, would that mean the circuit was still complete (before I have it all to bits again)

Not necessarily. My A/C lights up but it certainly isn't working.:-(

check you have a 12v feed to the rear window.at the two terminals on the window.and yes the light will be on in the switch.wether there is a feed to the window or not.

              right, what happened was this,

I thought i'd 'trick' the window open ignition on, RD on, & check for volts @the glass end, only thing was I couldn't definitely tell by myself if the window was out enough as it appeared to be about to drop off onto ground.

I definitely will however take a look over the holidays, and get someone to hold the glass from dropping out

              & report back of course
