  • urgent steering part

    could anyone please tell me what this part is called it is attached to the steering on the passangers side it is worn so i need to replace it what does it do and where could i get the part please.it is the horisontal part with the sun shineing on it it also bolts to the chassis then the main steering arm

    Yeah, pretty certain that's what the MOT man called a 'steering idler'. When I phoned Toyota for a price on a new one she understood what I was on about!

      yes it is the steering idler arm (not pitman arm) so dont confuse it you ahve one of each on the different side of your vehicle. The new idler arms have the added grease nipple as well.

          If your going to do the job yourself Milners are doing a special offer @55.00.
          OR your could try replacing the Bushes... they only cost a couple of quid...
