  • Front Antil Roll Bar Kit

After fitting the two obvious bits that go between the rails and the bar, I have all of these leftover. Where do they go, they just dont look like whats at the ends of the roll bar??

Jim, they look like the bars that join the anti-roll bar to the axle (or A-arm if its on the front)

Agreed Tony but look at what the setup is like from the a'roll bar to the lower A arm at them minute!!! I have yet to dismantle that so maybe the new bolt head fits into what looks like a ball joint in post 1 (not likely).

Looks like you've got part of a quick disconnect kit there. If you have a look at http://www.yankeetoys.org/lee/sway-bar.htm you'll see what I mean.

Thay are replacement bushes for the sway bar links. You appear to have the same type as an american 4runner. The top bit is a right angles. If i were you i'd just replace the lower bushes, you will notice a difference. Mine are like this

Gamedawn, I see what you mean although my new bolts have no holes for R clips so I'm ruling that one out.

Delboy, it seems that all I do have which is usable is the bushings - the bolts seem useless coz they dont match they existing ones with the ball head on them ... needless to say they were supplied by Milners just like my wrong aircon belt was, in fact out of 2 orders for spurious parts, looks like they got 2 out of 2 wrong.

The parts you have will fit 4 Runner but not the Surf. The surf top connection is a Tie Rod End sort of setup exclusive to the Surf and which I have found to be only available from Toyota and very expensive.Found this when considering replacing mine recently.Bottom bushes etc may fit but no good if top joint is worn.A 4 Runner sway bar may fit the Surf but I doubt it.

Is it possible your sway bar has been changed from the original.Maybe a 4 Runner sway bar???? This needs more investigation.

They sway bar might have been changed, but i doubt it. I think they are interchangeable.
