  • fuel heater vow?

hi, had a vow2 a heater for a while, just getting round to fitting it on 3rd gen 3.0L ltd, does it make sense to put heater before or after fuel pump? vow have suggested I put one before , one after......more cost though. Plus my surf is a winter edition with inter cooler, might it already have a factory fit heater on pump?

Can you put one after the pump? Is it up to the pressures involved?

Personally, I'd put one after the fuel filter and leave it at that. The fuel will be hot enough in normal conditions.

You'd need four of them. One for each injector line. I doubt they could handle high pressure anyway. I think injector pressure is around 2K PSI.

One, inline *before* the filter. It's a fairly moot point, in truth.

            Why before? Serious question.

Wont you have to run a filter ful of cold veg then before you get heated fuel?

If you don't try and heat the filter up as quickly as possible, your I.P ain't gonna be pulling owt through anyhows. Trying to pull claggy fluid through a claggy, impregnated filter, where do you think the sticking point would be?
