  • anti roll bar bracket, busted!!!

Does Anyone Else Have A Repeating Problem With The R/h Side Rear Bracket That Wraps Around The Anti Rollbar With Bushing Fixing It To The Rear Axle????

I Have Replaced Mine 4 Or 5 Times Now Only On The Right Hand Side,
It Has Snapped Twice , And Pulled The Bolts Out And Bent Out Of Proportion, I Have A Spares Truck Which When I Went To Get The Replacement The Same Side Was Snapped On That,

Also In The Last Couple Of Days Two Freinds Of Mine Who Have Spanish 4runners Have The Same Problem On The Same Side Only,

I Have To Say That This Has Only Started Happening Since Being Here In Spain,

The Last One I Have Put On I Managed To Get Double Nuts On The Bolts And It Has Lasted The Longest So Far, Others Have Only Lasted A Couple Of Days, If It Happens Again I Think Reinforcing Is In Order

    Any Ideas???

I'll second that. Only if you have decent springs and shocks though, otherwise it will be more wallowy than normal.

        I'll third that.

Have taken off both of my arb's, bit more body roll in the corners and slightly smoother ride.

        Also more articulation.

I'll fourth that.....and as Matt said, make sure you are not suffering from SAS, OK, so technically Matt didn't say that, but you will need good springs/shocks or you'll feel seasick on roundabouts - and for God's sake, don't put anything on the roof!!!!!!!
