No turbo light on dash

Afternoon all,

Does anybody know why my speedo does not have a turbo light on it and just a engine light.

The speedo has stopped working and I am looking to replace the complete speedo, but all the ones I have looked at have a engine warning light and a turbo light. Where as mine on has the engine warning light and no turbo.

Would they still be ok to swap?

Is it a 3 litre? they dont have turbo lights, thats only on the 2.4

Good innit- I can compare an contrast the two, to see which bits match... Shortly I will be able to do some 'exploded view' type photographs too..

one thing to watch out for,some after market speedo faces for the 3ltr have the hole for the turbo light

Thanks for the reply, It is the 3LT, but the car I am looking to get it from was also has the 3LT. But I guess the speedo could have been the after market one and the light never came on in the first place.

If the speedo has the same 3 connections at the back, should it still work, if they were different I would have expected Toyota to change the connections also?
