A good exo I would have in a flash on the Surf, if the opportunity arose and funds allowed. For his suggestion of a cosmetic one, however, giving him anything less than a damned good verbal thrashing would have been a crime. Any nob who would suggest something like that deserves every bit of criticism, (and more), which they receive.

Seriously, with something like that, it would stick out like a sore thumb if you tried a vanity option. It would also be dangerous too. It wouldn't have the structural integrity, hence any actual incident and it could cause far more damage than if it wasn't there at all. It would go beyond silly and into the realms of downright dangerous.

Personally speaking, unless you actually NEED one, they look really really naff.

Put one INSIDE if you really need a cage. Much better solution, AND you can protect the passenger cell but still open the doors!

Roll cages/hoops do have the benefit of not snagging on things. Might be worthwhile getting one in just as a precaution, if you like going to the edge.
