  • New Tyres.

The fronts are getting a bit low, and I'd like to get new ones.

Is it better to swap my half worn rears to the front, and put the new tyres on the back?

Actually, as long as the ones with best grip are on the back, you'll be OK.

You NEVER want the back to lock up before the front, unless you like the view of where you've just been as against where you're going.

I'm used to cars with staggered sizes where swapping isn't an option.

I always assumed you put the better tyre on the back. Had far too much fun with lift off oversteer in old FWD hatchbacks as a youth.

Just wasn't sure on the details with something so big & 4wd.

I'll get them to laser align it at the same time.

I did search, but got to page 3 of 12 looking and got sidetracked looking at other threads ..
