cruise control

hi lads
got a problem with my cruise control, it works fine until i switch on the lights then it switches itself off, must be electrical checked connections i can see just wondered if anyone has come across this before, hope one of you experts can help, this is the only fault in the whole vehicle and its really p#****g me off.
