  • Leak on thermostat housing

Hi I am a newie here and this is my first post even though I have been reading the forums since Feb. I have just changed the water stat (88c) but now the housing has a small leak from joint. I was thinking of using some red Hermetite to seal it is this ok?

    Regards Clive

Replace the seal inside the housing that fits around the outer rim of thermostat.

Go to your local dealer. They don't cost much.

I think Nev has the number for a compatible part. It should be listed on the Oz site somewhere. Not sure what the price would be from the dealer, but they usually tend to be a bit stiff for those types of thing.

Tridon is the name of the Fan Switch if you can find one over there. If not maybe you can find a compatable one with the same switching temps.
