Can anyone tell me what the bit in the middle of this photo is, and will it kill me if it breaks?

it's part of the ARB. you could take the ARB's off as some members on here have

If it lets loose the ARB I'm guessing a bit of extra wallowing on the road. Got a name for it as I think I'll replace them, they are looking very knackered.

you can buy just the bush kit which is a doddle to fit if the link rods and joint are ok. it's the anti roll bar kit on the same page.
