  • Metal Epoxy Putty

    Hi All,

I would just like to say how brilliant this stuff really is!

There are several makes for example:-

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...422c42ffee37ab

I have successfully repaired and created many things using this stuff!

I always have a couple around the house.

This is a must have item if you are a "tinkerer" like me!

    I am not joking!

I have repaired pin holes in the Surf rad, laptops, hoovers, kids toys, furniture, fishing rods to name but a few!

My greatest one was fixing the "carpet pin" that holds the carpet in the drivers footwell, wonderful!

    BUY IT!

    You will not regret it!

    Gary

I used the stuff to patch up the heater pipe that runs along the side of the engine on my surf as it had a pin hole in spraying a jet of water when it pressurized. I also threw a radweld in for good measure.

Someone will be along shortly to say that it's a load of rubbish and you're wasting your money and you will die!

            Probably.

I agree about the radwelds, never had much luck with it, but it was on a bank holiday, I spotted the leak, so took a trip to Halfrauds to see what I could come up with rather than risk the head.

I always remember many years ago having a Suzuki Swift in the garage with a water leak (turned out to have a cracked head too) we had a sales rep from some company selling there new brand of radweld which he garanteed would seal any leak.

These things were almost £20 a bottle, but we persueded him to give a free demonstration on this Suzuki. He must have put six or seven bottles of the stuff in before he gave up and went off with his tail between his legs.
