  • Poor quality wipers

I don't know if it was just a faulty batch or not, but I bought a new set of front wiper blades from Milners a month ago.
They never worked well as half the blade didn't wipe properly, and now both are broken, because the crappy little metal clip has rusted away!!!
I've now bought a new set from a local car shop, which are the correct length (18" unlike the milners ones which were 17"), clean the whole screen, and have a proper clip to attach them. And they were £2 cheaper than Milners!!
Never had a quality problem with Milners before, but just watch out if you need wipers!

It's the old story, you get what you pay for. Milners are handy because you can pick up the phone, and next day the parts are at your door. On the other hand, their oil filters are smaller than the ones supplied by local motorfactors, the air filters are a slack fit in the filter box and I had to put draught excluder on it to stop it rattling. I bought Bosch wiper bldes from Halfords last year and they are great. Maybe a bit dearer to buy stuff localy, but after what I've spent on the truck, another couple of quid for quality parts seems irrelevant.

The bitter taste of poor quality lingers long after the cheap price is forgotten"

What vehicle were the wipers stated for.

My back and front wipers require replacing and halfords dont list the 4 runner or the surf.

                        Thanks Mike.

They were just 18" blades - no particular make - take an old one off and match it up against ones in the shop.
