electri aerial

Hi , i am new to the owners club having just purchased a hilux surf 2.4 td on k plate, however i have a minor problem with the electric aerial, i can hear everything working ok (motor etc ) but the aerial will not go up or down, it remains in the up position, this in no way affects the operation of the radio, i believe this can be rectified without having to take panels and trim off etc, how is this done !! and where can i get a replacement from possibly on this site, that i have not fully checked out yet, any help would be appreciated, regards Dave

its easy!
Remove the chrome thingy off the top of the ariel mounting
ariel is now free
pull the last bit of the ariel and runner out
now
turn the radio on, ariel thinks its extending, when that stops, push the new ariel down the hole, it wont go far
now turn the radio off.
race back round and guide the last bit of mast down the hole
refit the chrome thingy off the top of the ariel mounting
and you're done
